Learn, Relax, Certify, and get CEU's in Puerto Rico

Experience the perfect blend of professional development and relaxation in Puerto Rico. As a US territory, no passport or visa is required for US nationals, and English is widely spoken. We suggest you stay in Ocean Park, San Juan, where you can find nice, affordable Airbnb apartments within walking distance of a beautiful beach and Calle Loiza, a lively street known for its vibrant weekend nightlife, restaurants, cafes, food trucks, and local food 'cafeterias'. Puerto Rico is a tourist-friendly country where almost everybody in San Juan speaks English as a second language or can at least understand and make themselves understood.

Plan to arrive a day or two before the workshop or stay a little longer to explore one of the oldest and most charming walled cities in the Americas, beautifully conserved. Additionally, visit the only rainforest national park in the USA, enjoy plenty of beaches, and book a tour to the rainforest during the day, take a dip in the crystal clear mountain waters, and then have a kayak tour at night in the bioluminescent waters of Fajardo. Come on, it's just a jump!

When the Body Talks with Tom Myers

The legend of Massage, Tom Myers Returns to Puerto Rico!

Author of Anatomy Trains, Tom Myers is one of the most influential people in the world of manual therapy. This workshop is designed to develop the skills of seeing and palpating skeletal relationships: The key to developing an effective treatment and/or training strategy that takes into consideration the body as a whole!

One of the objectives is to recognize signs of distress in the evaluation of the client or patient, depending on the case of their profession, and help them create greater resilience. Where is the weak point in the chain? Deep pain, trauma, prolonged illness, constant frustration – all of these can undermine resilience. Structural, physiological and psychological health are all related and all function through elasticity and plasticity in the nervous, chemical and myofascial systems.

Using breathing, stretching, mindful meditation, and focused attention, we will explore the limits of the "whole-body" neural, biochemical, and fascial systems: how to make stress work for you, what to do to decrease distress and increase the balance. and have the most resilient system you can have.
