Innovative techniques developed by Dr. Chikly, such as mapping and re-routing, are incorporated to make the flow of lymph to healthy pathways more efficient.

You will be able to do the complete protocol, including medical lymphatic drainage, bandages, and other care. Learn to work with, among others, cancer patients who have received axillary radiotherapy and develop lymphedema.

The need on the island for people who are experts in this therapy is great. The therapists on the island with certification can be counted on the fingers of one hand, while the population with the need continues to grow.

The Lymphedema Certification program has several steps and requirements:

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Level I (MLD)

4-day workshop where the lymphatic system in health is studied and how to perform Lymphatic Drainage of the entire anterior aspect of the body is learned.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage Level II (LDT2)

4-day workshop where you learn how to perform lymphatic drainage of the posterior aspect of the body and the breast; you learn the 'mapping' and 'rerouting' technique for areas with altered drainage.

Lymphatic Drainage Level III (LDT3)

4-day workshop where deep tissue drainage begins: viscera, muscles, ligaments, tendons, joint capsule, fascia. Mapping is perfected.

Lymphedema Workshop

7 days. Includes everything related to Lymphedema, bandages, patient care and education.

Dr. Bruno Chikly is a French physician, educated in La Sorbonne, who made the most detailed description and drawings of the lymphatic system of the whole body that is available so far. Including the body organs, and all its tissues. He took a long-held tradition of Medical Lymphatic work in France, to a complete new level, by incorporating all the discoveries of the Lymphatic System of the last years and enhancing the repertoire of techniques and applications.

The Chikly Health Institute Certification Program includes various workshops, writing, and practical tests, and case studies among other requirements. It is recognized by the AOTA (American Occupational Therapist Association) and NCBMB for Massage Therapists, as well as NY, Manitoba, Alberta, and other Canadian provinces.
