In Puerto Rico, 30 hours of continuing education are required in order to renew your Massage Therapist license. Of these, 20 (minimum) have to be in-person education. This ensures that therapists maintain an adequate level of competence and professionalism.

Ofrecemos talleres de Educación Coninua aprobados por la Junta Examinadora de Terapeutas de Masaje de Puerto Rico a través de todo el año.

Cursos compulsorios

Solo puede presentar 10 horas por módulo, revista o internet. Estas se desglosan de la siguiente forma:

3 horas Control de Infecciones, HIV, Hepatitis y Tuberculosis- Reg. lo establece.
2 horas en el curso Équida y Respeto en el que se aborde la bioética y el discrimen de forma general. Deberá instruir sobre el discrimen en todas sus modalidades reconocidas en la Ley, entre estas por razón de raza, color, sexo, edad, religión, origen o identificación étnica o nacional, ideología política, incapacidad física o mental presente, o futura, información médica o genética condición social, embarazo, orientación sexual o capacidad o forma de pago del usuario o consumidor de dichos servicios y facilidades. (Aplica del 2024 en adelante) Orden Adm. 2024-583 -desde 4 de enero de 2024.
3 horas en Ética Profesional
3 horas en Abuso y Maltrato de Menores
3 horas en CPR requeridas (con presentación de la tarjeta, según decisión de la Junta 2018/07/23.

Requisitos restantes

$100.00 en Giro pagadero a nombre del "Secretario de Hacienda", en ATH oTarjetas de Crédito (no se acepta American Express)
Certificado de Salud.
Certificación de No Deuda de Contribuciones sobre ingresos con el Dpto. de Hacienda.
Certificación Negativa de Administración de Sustento de Menores (ASUME)
Certificado de Antecedente Penal de PR y del lugar donde reside si es fuera de PR. Ambos con menos de 30 días de haber sido expedidos.

Se recomienda renovar su registro 90 días (3 meses) previos al vencimiento de su registro para evitar penalidades. Profesional con licencia vencida tiene que comunicarse a nuestras oficinas. Si por alguna razón no está ejerciendo su profesión podrá solicitar lnactivación llenando el Formulario de lnactivación en o antes de su vencimiento.
